A writer finds a human torso which has been hacked up in the style of a killer who terrorized the neighborhood several hundred years ago. A strange photographer is mistaken for somone else by the perpetrator of the the crime. Ultimately she kills the maniac in self-defense, but is mistakenly identified as the culprit and killed by a relative of the victim seeking revenge.
